While travel restrictions loom over your European summer vacation plans, the latest releases of San Antonio artist Garrett T. Capps appropriately sweep us to the canals of Amsterdam – or was it Holland, or Denmark, or Sweden? At this point, do you even remember where you were headed?
Maybe you had tickets booked to see Tejano, Norteño, or a Nederpop band but now you're stuck in your cabin, alone, dancing with your shadow (again). Just like you, GTC is losing his mind stuck inside an immobile home far outside of Memphis, but thankfully he's offering up some much-needed relief with these new gems.
The planned album release tour has taken a detour, but GTC ably adjusts to guide us through the winding, deep-rooted South Texas stylings of Augie Myers, Josh & Max Baca, and Los Texmaniacs. Toss aside your map and follow along on this two-step, which ultimately and unusually lands you back on your quarantine porch sipping a cold one, day-drinking and daydreaming of parading over the Herengracht with a boombox blasting these bad boys.
